Hello, Adventurer!

We are Wilderness Mastery Press. We are a team of wilderness adventurers ready to educate and encourage you, based on our vast and varied experience.
Team WMP is comprised of men and women who have jumped out of airplanes, winter camped and loved it, laughed in the wind on an Alaskan mountaintop and swam with the fish off the South Florida Keys. We represent distance travelers who have crossed the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans multiple times, military members, and even have several Eagle Scouts among us.

We know from personal experience that outdoor adventures can be both exhilarating and harrowing. Those who expand their wilderness survival and bushcraft skills have the opportunity to develop a sense of confidence, situational awareness and humility that only Mother Nature’s playground can provide. We are here to share our knowledge and experience so that you, to, can embrace the joys and challenges of the great outdoors, regardless of your initial skills or abilities. Welcome, and let the adventuring begin!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

The focus of our blog writing relates to tips and tricks for greater enjoyment in the wilderness, survival stories when things have gone awry, gear recommendations, and outdoor photography.

It is often is a missed opportunity when those who go for hikes, backpacking, canoeing, cycling or camping come back without having captured the magic of the nature around them. This photography section is to highlight some of those pictures. If you'd like to have your photo highlighted, please reach out to our team at: [email protected]

We are currently in the process of creating a book to bring the most essential wilderness survival and bushcraft skills content into one compact location. More information to come!
